Katie and Julio invited me to photograph their family this summer in norhtern Chicago. They are beginning their journey as missionaries to Colombia, work they’re passionate about and hope to do for the long-term. I am grateful to know this family who will be making a lasting impression on the world.

This wedding took me to Wisconsin for the second time this season, and for the second time in my life. The state is lovely and so was Jess and Bo’s wedding, located in the park where they first met. The threatening rain stayed away and the day turned out to be both elegant and whole lot of fun.

Jen and Miles got married at beautiful Chicago Botanic Garden in late June. In spite of the powerful summer storm that came in and out of the day, everything was lovely and remarkably unscathed by the weather conditions. My husband and I have known Nate for about a year now and have really treasured our friendship. Nate married his sweet heart Megan on June 5th in Champaign, Illinois. Shanya and Ernest are having their first baby, due anytime now. I was able to photograph the last days of their pregnancy at their home last week. The world is very much looking forward to its next beautiful baby boy and I’m so happy to have given him his first photo session

League of Chicago Theaters 2010 Gala

In late May I was given the special privilege to photograph the League of Chicago Theater’s 2010 Gala. This is an event that happens yearly to boost esteem for our city’s great theaters, present awards to those who have made lasting impressions on the business and raise support for this non-profit organization. I don’t know much about our great theaters in Chicago, unfortunately,but based on the passionate people I met at this event, I very much look forward to learning more.

Earlier this month I was able to do a photo shoot with the up-and-coming singing sensation Amanda Hunt. Native Chicago girl, she sings with the power of Whitney from the 90’s and has a passion for God that drives her. On The Road To Literacy

Chicago’s 19th District Literacy Program has a yearly event titled “On the road to literacy” to strengthen literacy in the city and congratulate tutors and participants for year of hard work and fruitful efforts. I was given the opportunity to work as their photographer for this great event and met some great people in this city of ours. Keep up the hard work you guys, you are greatly appreciated!
