This month has been very busy as I wear many professional hats; shooting weddings, coordinating and implementing a month-long art project, preparing to teach a photography class at Judson University in the fall, and of course being a full-time mom. When things get crazy, something gets dropped… and this time it was updating cyber-landia. Many apologies.
I’ve been a casual acquaintance with Manohar almost as long as I’ve lived in Chicago. He worked with my husband in the software development world which meant we chatted at holiday company parties and when I pulled office-wife detail. It was such a pleasant surprise to hear from him again when he and Heather began to plan their wedding!
They had a truly intimate affair, the kind of celebration I would plan for myself if my husband and I were getting married now. Making photos was a central part of their daytime plans which was incredibly fun for me! We went all around Lincoln Park and the North Avenue Beach, visiting spots that are lovely but also extremely sentimental to them. Then I got to take a break in the middle of the day (what?!) followed by their reception at Naveen’s Cuisine in Bucktown; a warm, relaxed, classy space with delicious food.
Here are a few gems from their very awesome wedding!
